The sun is back!
It is time for picnics in Paris, with a little taste of summer that really is wonderful!
I've chosen 21 good places for you to have a picnic with your family in Paris !

In the centre of Paris:
Rediscover the charm of the Marais and relax in one of the following parks:
- Square du Temple
In front of the 3rd Arrondissement town hall, it's a little paradise with grass and playgrounds
You can buy food at the Marché des enfants rouges (covered market built 1615) near Rue de Bretagne! It's open every day except on Mondays
Make the most of this picnic to discover the Street Art works of the Marais with a self guided walk starting in Rue de Bretagne
-A huge classic: Place des Vosges
Here again there is grass and a playground... but sometimes a lot of people...
- The Jardin des Rosiers - Joseph Migneret
It's a well hidden paradise, that you can't see from the street
We get into it at 10 Rue des Rosiers and then enjoy the tranquility surrounded by flowers (and roses: -) and beautiful private hotels!
Note: this garden has been renamed (formerly Francs Bourgeois), and now it is renamed after Joseph Migneret, former principal of a nearby school, Resistant during the Second World War, who saved many children.

Picnics are tolerated on the grass at the foot of Maillol sculptures on Esplanade du Carroussel
A unique historic place just two steps away from the Louvre Museum
There are still very few people here: take this opportunity to discover the beautiful Ancient egypt section in the Louvre... And modern art sculptures in the Tuileries thanks to this self guided walk
-Further south, Luxembourg Garden:
Sit by the pond and enjoy the romantic scenery of these beautiful gardens
It's also a great opportunity to discover Street Art works of the Latin Quarter
East of Paris:
- The jardins de Reuilly:
Amazing green space to relax or unwind: the Jardins de Reuilly has multiple playgrounds and picnic tables.
This is also an opportunity for you to take a walk to (re)discover the Coulée Verte... as well as its Street Art works!
- The Jardins de Belleville:
Sit in the stands or on the grass and enjoy the unique view on Paris
There, you can find several playgrounds and table tennis tables
It's also a good starting point to discover the Street Art works of Ménilmontant
- The Buttes Chaumont:
Here again you will find playgrounds, merry-go-rounds, a lake and wide lawns!
-The most spacious: Parc de la Villette!
there, we can have a picnic, play football, run... or simply rest in the park on the wide lawn along the Villette canal.
- the bobo picnic by the Saint Martin canal
A chance to have a walk by the canal, to go shopping, to have a picnic or an ice cream... and maybe even catch a Space Invaders!
West of Paris:
-Martin Luther King Park
Enjoy the lawns and varieties of plants in this little heaven in the 17th Arrondissement
Also a great starting point to discover the charming area of Batignolles and its Street Art Works
-The Champs de Mars, unique in the world
At the foot of the Eiffel Tower, enjoy this unique view, the large lawns ... but also the playgrounds
At the end of the esplanade, the short-lived Grand Palais is waiting for us
It should be noted that the Eiffel Tower will not be open until July

-Parc André Citroen:
Large lawns, water jets to cool down, it is the place to be for the pique-nique/digestive nap duo.

Discover the pavilions of this city, vestiges of the Universal Exhibition and its beautiful lawns

Beware, the floral park is charged from April to September

With its castle, it is said its name comes from the forges that were there in the Middle Ages.

This is the adventure for the children with this huge forest and its trees ... and stones! Kids love building huts in the rocks .. and climb them

(Re)discover this wood through a nice walk Accessible with scooters, pushchairs and have a nice picnic
-A little unknown gem: The Parc de St Cloud
A unique place at the gates of Paris that has English and French gardens, as well as a magnificent view of Paris thus being the perfect place for an adventure in the woods!

-An unknown park: the domaine Marly!
A few minutes away from Paris, an unknown estate that at once has wide lawns, a beautiful view and French gardens.
It is where Louis XIV invited his prestigious guests to hunt!

No need to go into the royal gardens, you can picnic on the edge of the beautiful pièce d'eau des Suisses
A bucolic heaven 2 steps away from the Castle!
