The sun is back!

It is time for picnics in Paris, with a little taste of summer that really is wonderful!

In the centre of Paris:

Rediscover the charm of the Marais and relax in one of the following parks:

- Square du Temple

In front of the 3rd Arrondissement town hall, it's a little paradise with grass and playgrounds

You can buy food at the Marché des enfants rouges (covered market built 1615) near Rue de Bretagne! It's open every day except on Mondays

Make the most of this picnic to discover the Street Art works of the Marais with a self guided walk starting in Rue de Bretagne

 


-A huge classic: Place des Vosges 

Here again there is grass and a playground... but sometimes a lot of people...


- The Jardin des Rosiers - Joseph Migneret

It's a well hidden paradise, that you can't see from the street

We get into it at 10 Rue des Rosiers and then enjoy the tranquility surrounded by flowers (and roses: -) and beautiful private hotels!

Note: this garden has been renamed (formerly Francs Bourgeois), and now it is renamed after Joseph Migneret, former principal of a nearby school, Resistant during the Second World War, who saved many children.


-A Royal picnic in Tuileries Garden...

Picnics are tolerated on the grass at the foot of Maillol sculptures on Esplanade du Carroussel

- The Jardins de Belleville:

Sit in the stands or on the grass and enjoy the unique view on Paris

There, you can find several playgrounds and table tennis tables

Here again you will find playgrounds, merry-go-rounds, a lake and wide lawns!


-The most spacious: Parc de la Villette!

there, we can have a picnic, play football, run... or simply rest in the park on the wide lawn along the Villette canal.

A few minutes away from Paris, an unknown estate that at once has wide lawns, a beautiful view and French gardens.

It is where Louis XIV invited his prestigious guests to hunt!
